EHS Tennis News... Season Begins 2/15/2012 COACH COTTON HONORED at 2011 USTA BANQUET The Spring semester is underway and that can only mean one thing: Tennis Season is around the corner! The Men will begin  tryouts at Blairwood
on February 15th. There are forms to be filled out, safety
videos to watch, and physicals that need be completed. To see

Coach Cotton, he is at EHS in the afternoons.Congratulations again to Coach Cotton who was selected to receive the USTA Kentucky 2010 Coach of the Year Award. Thanks to parents Lisa Heffley, Beth McCulley, and Linda Ozier for their great work in the nomination process. This is a well deserved honor...as you can see with some of his highlights. -Teacher and Coach for 37 years -Long standing recreational coach and community volunteer -USTA Captain of Kentucky State Champion which competed in USTA Sectionals against other State Winners -Tennis coach for hundreds of students -Over 350 match wins, with Region and State participants To see the official nomination, CLICK HERE The Banquet was held January 29th and his family was proud to attend. Some EHS players and parents attended and it was a great event. |
Trainer Available Eastern has a trainer available during certain hours and student athletes are encouraged to contact him with any questions, particularly if there is an injury involved. His name is Kevin Brown and he will be a great addition for the Eagles. Webmaster is working to get the rest of the Team and Individual information to update the website. 2011 was a great Season for the Eastern Eagles after the record setting 2010. Coach Cotton said a record was set in 2010 with the most dual match wins ever. He had a deep squad of 20 and was able to get players a variety of matches. To see the latest match results, CLICK HERE. Eagles Celebrate a Great
Season Gattiland on Lyndon Lane It was a great season and its fitting the Coach, Player, and EHS Supporters do a little celebrating. This took place at Gattiland on Lyndon Lane. Coach Cotton handed out the team awards and varsity and junior varsity letters. It was a great time and a great way to end to season! Thanks Coach Cotton and Eastern Tennis Supporters!!!
